Are you a detail-oriented supply chain professional with a passion for customer service and international order management? We are looking for a Customer Supply Chain Specialist on behalf of our client, a global brand in digital lifestyle accessories known for its sustainable product range and a presence across 50 countries worldwide.
Please note that this is a full-time position (36 hours per week) on a 6-month temporary contract, based in Dordrecht.
About the Role
As Customer Supply Chain Specialist, you will join the Customer Supply Chain team and become the go-to contact for a select group of customers and countries, managing everything from quotes and order entry to backorders and delivery follow-up. The role sits at the crossroads of customer service, logistics, and sales, covering the full order-to-cash process. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Logistics, Demand Planning, Finance, and Marketing, while also contributing to KPI development and continuous improvement projects, including a new ERP system rollout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the ordering process for a defined group of customers and countries, including quotes, order entry, and backorder management
- Act as the main point of contact for customers and the Sales team on matters such as shipments, price discrepancies, complaints, returns, and product portfolio management
- Signal, follow up, and communicate with customers and logistics service providers on operational issues, including critical backorders, late or damaged deliveries, and unmet agreements
- Analyse customer order behaviour and optimise delivery efficiency, considering factors like delivery frequency and minimum order value
- Support the Sales team with clear, up-to-date information on order deliveries and revenue outlook
- Coordinate customer-related matters across internal departments, and inform customers of product or range changes, including introducing new products
- Develop, track, and continuously improve KPIs in close collaboration with customers and the Sales team
- Participate in or lead customer improvement projects, balancing costs and benefits across stock levels, forecasting, and transport arrangements
- Contribute to larger cross-functional projects, such as the implementation of a new ERP system
Qualifications & Skills
- A completed bachelor's degree or equivalent work and thinking level
- 0-2 years of experience in customer service and/or supply chain ERP and processes, ideally within an international environment
- Fluency in French and English is required; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage
- Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Accurate, analytical, and proactive, with strong attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and a genuine sense of team commitment
